Peter Evans is world-known for his bronzes and has pieces in Africa and England amongst many other countries. Peter travels to Africa every year in a quest for the ultimate photo to sculpt from. Peter uses the lost-wax process to formulate his pieces and conducts workshops in this art form at the Village View Gallery. Peter has done many bronzes and commissions of birds and animals in every shape and form.

Peter also specializes in Photography. The digital photographs on display at the Village View Gallery were taken at the Gold Coast and great diving range Darling Downs Queensland. The bronze kingfisher (pictured) is one of Peter’s earlier works and fits beautifully in the show. The tarnishing effect on the bronze giving the sculpture a bluish haze. The bird itself has bluish feathers on it’s back in real life.
