Kathy Pollitt has practiced as an artist since the 1970’s, using watercolor, oil and acrylics. Her background includes private tuition from some well- respected South Australian Artists in life drawing and various media. This was followed by workshops with Rex Bauhaus Smith, Irene Amos, Brian Malt, David Taylor and Ross Paterson. Kathy also studied at Claremont Tech in Perth before traveling overseas. Kathy is now concentrating on producing many more interpretations of the various subject matters, which inspire her.
About her practise Kathy comments... "As a child, I was constantly fascinated by the colors and designs created by nature. I continue to be inspired by the natural world. The colors, tones and never ending scenarios, which it provides, act as the stage upon which I can employ color, creating different moods and atmospheres".
