Aileen has worked for many years in the Jewelry industry, and has enjoyed the constant challenge of the Silversmith making and selling Silver and other types of Jewelry.Aileen combines modern techniques with old-school jewelry making.
Aileen worked for many years as an ACE coordinator and is a very experienced workshop Tutor for Jewelry Making having worked for many years with The Western College of Adult Educ. touring and teaching in many remote and outback areas of NSW as well as work shopping in many other less remote areas.
Aileen enjoys the privilege of working from the Silversmith Shop at Highfields Pioneer Village and offers workshops in Silver Jewelry Making here.
Aileen has had a lifelong interest in all things 'Heritage" especially handmade jewelry.
The collection on display at Village View Gallery consists of 18 pieces of handmade and hand finished Silver jewelry to form an interesting and wearable collage emphasized by vibrant colored backdrops.
The work combined with Garnets, Peridot, Rose Quartz, Rose Zircon, Resin ,Blown glass, Nickel Silver coins and antique Silver,
all pieces being hand worked and finished by Aileen Flood between 1990 and 2007.
Aileen’s Display also includes 25 pieces of silver she completed in 2007.
